As a web developer at BinWise you will be tasked with updating and adding features to our back-end site. You will work on everything from web services and server-side architecture to updating front-end HTML/CSS/JS and database work. What will you be doing?

  • You will be working with and transforming our current web application into its next generation form.
  • In-depth coding and database work with our heterogeneous stack of Microsoft and Scala/Play.

  • Some UI/UX work to make our current and future products very easy for customers to use.

What you need to know and have?

  • You have worked as a developer for at least 5+ years mostly with web software.
  • Advanced skills in some server-side web development stack (e.g. ASP.NET, Java).
  • Experience in our stack ( C# / ASP.NET / SQL Server / Scala / Play ) is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Thorough knowledge of database architecture, reporting, and development.
  • Experience with both relational databases like SQL Server and document databases like MongoDB.
  • Experience with processing and reporting large amounts of data with business intelligence tools like Pentaho and distributed file systems like Hadoop.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of modern HTML, CSS and Javascript.
  • Familiar with web services and API architecture and creation.
  • Incredible coding skills and the desire to create amazing things with technology.
  • Familiar with a startup environment, and the ability to be hands-on and flexible.

What you need to know and have?

  • You have a proven track record for excellent UI and UX.
  • Dedicated to detail and keenly aware of how users interact with web sites.
  • Fluent knowledge of HTML/CSS and capabilities of modern browsers.
  • Experience with jQuery and other JavaScript libraries/frameworks like Marionette.js/Backbone.js and CoffeScript.
  • Experience and a level of comfort using XPath, XML, and XSLT.

As a member of the BinWise sales & marketing team, you must be a self-starter and possess a strong entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivation, and intense enthusiasm.

  • Directly support the VP of Sales and responsible for managing salesforce.com
  • Monitors the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports essential to the sales organization; recommends revisions to existing reports or assists in the development of new reporting tools as needed

  • Manage install process and on-boarding of new Customers remotely or on-site
  • Project & resource management of all phases of install process
  • Ensure that all implementations are completed on a timely basis
  • Train new Customers on use of product via on-site or webinar
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through a seamless install process
  • Account management to ensure adoption and usage of product after implementation
  • Provide ongoing customer support & basic trouble shooting

- What you need to know and have?

  • Project management, change management or account management experience
  • Some restaurant experience with basic wine experience and ability to effectively communicate with sommeliers, wine directors & restaurant managers
  • Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills with customers and internal team members
  • Basic understanding of data base, excel, word and pdf
